Upgrade path

To upgrade from from a previous version, complete all steps under Install the Salesforce B2C LINK Cartridge.

Before you begin

  1. Contact Digital River at salesforce@digitalriver.com to request the necessary credentials, configure Drop-in payment options, and obtain a LINK key.

  2. Ensure you have the Digital River cartridge and review the system requirements.

  3. Verify the compatibility of your commerce platform version with the cartridge.

  4. Check for the required Node.js version and update if necessary.

  5. Follow the upgrade path if upgrading from an earlier version.

  6. Add the required localization strings if using the cartridge outside the US locale.

Limitations

The following Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) features are not supported:

  • If using the dynamic pricing feature, review the documentation for additional considerations related to those features.

  • SFCC supports a single Ship To address and a single Ship From address per site. SFCC does not keep multiple Ship To and Ship From addresses. You can configure the Ship From address in the Business Manager under site preferences. The system provides the Ship To addresses during the checkout process.

  • When a customer stores a credit card in the account, the system stores card data on the Digital River service. If you disable Digital River, the shopper cannot use the stored cards to pay for orders. The shopper will have to add them to their account again.

Firewall requirements

No adjustments to the SFCC Firewall settings are needed.
